Product Reviews

Johnson™ Beetle Grub™ is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Twirl Tails I Tried I use these Beetle Grub Tails for Shad fishing, and this is the best tails i found so far. Too bad, you can't buy them in stores anymore (used to buy them in Wal-Mart), and 6$ shipping kills the good price for the good product. Started looking for alternatives. As for the product: rubber (plastic) is firm and stays on the hook for multiple fish, skinny tail has really good action in the water and starts to attract fish while jig still sinking. And the size is right for 1/32 oz jigs i use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEETLE GRUBS A friend of mine and I looked everywhere we could to find some Johnson Beetle Grubs to no avail. Finally, because we love these artificial baits, I decided to do a Web search and found them on Pure Fishing. We catch a variety of fish: Perch, Blue Gill, Crappie, Bass, Pickerel, ect. I have even caught a couple of catfish while fishing for perch. We use the Pearl/Black Glitter ones exclusively. Together we just bought a supply for next fishing season (34 packs). Great little lures!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beetle Grub I have been using Beetle Grubs for the past three years. A frined bought some and gave them to me. I tried them and I haven't used anything else since. I have caught lots of different species of fish on them They are just an all around good artificial bait that mimics natural bait so well that the fish just can't resist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite beetle spin bait. I stumbled onto this product and had great success with it. I have reordered and will need to do so again. I use the chartreuse flake version with size 0 Hildebrandt spinner on light outfit. The bait is not particularly durable. Fish tear them up quickly so order plenty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite grub I used this grub because the tail moves during slow jigging for panfish. Bluegills occasionally bites the tail off. I should inquire if I can get a bulk discount. Application: Crappie, Bluegill, occasional Bass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tail action! Can't tell you the countless amount of fish I've caught with these lures paired with a beetle spin... EVERYTHING will eat it! One of my go to's on new lakes or in rough days.
